We are delighted to host a special Marchesi Antinori Wine Dinner, celebrating one of the most historic and influential wine families in the world. With nearly 650 years and 26 generations behind them, Marchesi Antinori is not only a giant of Tuscany but a pioneer of modern Italian winemaking, renowned for their role in shaping Chianti and creating the legendary Super Tuscan style. Under the leadership of Piero Antinori, named Decanter Magazine’s Man of the Year, the family expanded their reach across Italy and beyond, most famously with the release of Tignanello in 1974 – widely regarded as the first Super Tuscan and now one of Italy’s most sought-after fine wines.
For this special evening we are joined by Antinori Brand Ambassador Emanuele Barrasso, who will guide us through a selection of the estate’s outstanding wines while sharing the story, philosophy and future of this remarkable family. The tasting will include a rare opportunity to enjoy Tignanello itself, alongside wines from the acclaimed 2021 Tuscan vintage, widely hailed as one of the finest in decades, as well as examples from Antinori estates beyond Chianti.
Guests will begin with a tutored tasting accompanied by canapés, before moving into a specially themed three-course Italian dinner in The Oak Panelled Dining Room, with further wines from the Antinori portfolio paired throughout the evening.
